land ownership
At first, when the trustees ruled Georgia, people could "own" land, but it wasn't really theirs. That all changed when the trustees stopped ruling Georgia. King George II took over Georgia and made it a new royal colony. This was now going to be ruled by royal governors. These governors couldn't just be and ordinary person, they had to be appointed by the king. Anyways, when Georgia changed in to a royal colony, ordinary people could own land. Additionally, if you owned more than 500 acres of land or more you could be on the house of assembly board.
slavery in Georgia
Slavery in Georgia was favored and unfavored. This is so because the people with big plantations would need slaves. Also, a good amount of people had a lot of land. It was unfavored by the Highland Scotts and Salzburgers the most.
GEORGIA'S new government
Georgia was a colony ruled by the trustees. This was soon changed when Oglethorpe went back to London. King George II changed it to a royal colony. This royal colony would be ruled by a royal governor appointed by the king. The governors were John Reynolds, Henry Ellis, and James Wright.
Captain john renyolds
He was the first royal governor. He was the worst governor of the three. For Example, he had very poor relations with the native American people. On the plus side, he set up a great court system, bicameral legislature, and was a navy captain. Despite those great three things, he was soon petitioned against, and voted out of office.

The next governor was way better than the first governor. Henry Ellis was a really liked man. He also didn't use the self-governing method that was been used in the past. Although he didn't use a self-governing method, he still gave people more of a choice. Also, he helped finish set up the legislature. Meanwhile, while John didn't have good relations with the Native Americans, Henry helped the creek Indians a lot. While he was in office, the economy started to change and advance. He got sick and had to go back to Britain.
