Result:
Our end result turned out very well. It turned out well because we accomplished building an excellent model, as well as a poster with lots of information. The poster included specific dates, events, and people relating to our topic. Our topic was the economies of the north and south during the civil war. As well as having a poster with outstanding information, it also had pictures for the younger 7th graders to look when they came in to help them understand it more.
The main part of our project was our model. Our model was a decent size representation of king cotton vs factories. Our model had a line drawn down the middle and on one side of the line it had a huge factory that Ciara made and next to the factory there were words saying north. On the other side of the bold line, it had Ashley's part which was a gigantic king cotton statue with a crown and cotton all around it. Overall, the project turned out great and was a great learning opportunity.
Reflection:
Ashley's reflection: I thought we did a pretty good job with out project. We focused on the economies of the north and south during the civil war. This project was fun and I even learned while doing it! I learned that the south barely had any factories to mass produce things with. Although I learned while doing I do not think this was a very helpful project. I thought this because I only learned about 2 things.. But if I were to do this again, I would not procrastinate, I would not have done this topic, and finally I should have taken more time on the poster.
